Package includes the coupling body, cover, seal, shoes, shoe spring, roll pin, shaft pin and most importantly, the SAFETY CLIP. Chrysler Corp. Technical Service Bulletin D69-19-4 warns that if the steering column, steering coupler or steering gear are removed or "disturbed for any reason", it is imperative that this clip be installed. The factory found that the crimped-on steering coupler cover could come loose whenever the cover was removed and reinstalled in the field. This created an unsafe condition that allowed the seal to separate and grit and water to enter the coupler. This ingenious stainless steel corrects this problem so well that the seal and cover are held rigidly without moving even before seal cover tabs are crimped over + + + + Specify year and with power or manual steering when ordering
