These "double-action" fuel pumps were a rare but practical option for 1939-50 Plymouth - Dodge - DeSoto with vacuum windshield wipers. On cars with vacuum wipers and standard single-action fuel pumps, the vacuum to power the wipers comes from the intake manifold. The drawback of that scheme is that under acceleration (such as when passing or ascending a grade), the available vacuum is low or non-existent and the wipers slow or stop. Double -action fuel pumps have a separate chamber to produce a constant vacuum source to power the wipers at maximum speed under all conditions

Overhauled to be compatible with modern ethanol fuels. Includes fresh mounting gasket
